Azeezat Allen is a talented singer who has consistently churned out romantic songs that seem to wow her fans, especially the romantic at heart. Apart from singing and publishing, Azeezat is also a director at Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), the Assistant Coordinator of the Female Musicians Association of Nigeria (FEMAN), and the Managing Director of ‘The Way To Happiness’ a non-government organisation. She revealed to Naij.com, why she does what in the music industry among others.
How would you describe your style?
I appreciate simple things, but also the stylish things of life
What determines the clothes you wear?
For me, I always like to make a fashion statement because I enjoy people complimenting my looks. I like people to say “Oh! She has come”
What fashion apparel would you not want to be caught wearing and Why?
Pant and bra because I don’t think I am that crazy.
Your skin glows, do you do anything in particular to retain it?
I try to avoid unnatural things. Something as simple as palm oil is okay for me and Shea butter. I also break out with harsh cleansers.
What about your trim figure?
I believe I still fluctuate yet but I make sure I drink a lot of water. A lot of the thinking and hard work has kept me slim as well.
You promote Afro-eccentricity in your music, why?
I believe my music is a representation of who I am. I have western education, but I am African by birth. It is a blend of both that I exhibit.
What is your major inspiration?
I’m first and foremost a writer. I discovered my writing ability before I started singing; even if it doesn’t make sense to somebody, I devote more time to my writings.
