Fayose thanks Jonathan for appointing Adeyeye as minister

Abuja – The Ekiti State Governor-elect, Mr Ayodele Fayose, has
expressed gratitude to President Goodluck Jonathan for appointing
Mr Adedayo Adeyeye as Minister of State for Works.
This is contained in a statement issued by Chief Press Secretary to
Fayose, Mr Idowu Adelusi in Abuja on Tuesday.
The statement described the appointment as a right step in the right
direction.
It assured that “the people of Ekiti who are noted for loyalty and
uprightness’’, would not disappoint the President over the
appointment.
It said Adeyeye, a veteran journalist, performed creditably well as
Chairman of Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
The statement maintained that he would do even better in his new
position.
It further described Adeyeye as a man not given to frivolity or
disloyalty, assuring that the new minister would not disappoint the
president.
“I enjoin Ekiti people at home and abroad to stand by him so that
he can succeed for Nigeria and Ekiti state’’, the statement quoted
Fayose as saying.
The statement urged Adeyeye to have a separate telephone line
through which Ekiti people could reach him.
It stressed that he must be reachable and be prepared to bear the
burden of the people of the state.
“Adeyeye should not allow politicians to come in-between us as
politics and office come and go.’’
The statement also quoted Fayose as saying that he would give every
support to ensure that Adeyeye did Ekiti people proud. (NAN)
