The Roots' manager, Rich Nichols, has passed away, according to
several artists who have sent their condolences about his passing.
"Rest in peace to one of the greatest men I've ever met, Rich
Nichols," Talib Kweli says in a Twitter post.
Phonte also sent a message to his followers on Twitter about Nichols'
passing.
"RIP to my man Rich Nichols. The lessons he taught me both in and
out of the studio were priceless. Rest easy, good brother," Phonte
says.
Jill Scott was another artist who sent her condolences.
"Enduring respect for a brilliant, extraordinary MAN, Rich Nichols.
Peace is yours," she said.
