Ado Ekiti - The Peoples Democratic Party has berated the Ekiti
State House of Assembly for approving the creation of new
local governments in the state, reports NewsDay
The party described the action of the Assembly as illegal and a
disrespect to the rule of law.
Kola Oluwawole, Ekiit State’s PDP Publicity Secretary, said it
was the height of illegality for the Assembly to increase the
number of proposed LGs from 18 to 19 when referendum
was conducted for 18.
He noted that the Assembly by its action has added another
illegality to an illegal act because the party is still in court
challenging the creation of new local governments.
